The Greatest

PhotobucketPhotobucket
( Vintage dress and Zara sandals)

When I think of my ultimate all-time undefeated favourite dress, this one immediately springs to mind. It's positively the most gorgeous vintage dress I've ever acquired for the reason that it feels so very right now. It has been mine for more than two years now, bought for the purpose of wearing it to prom. You might think that it's not very prom-like but I'm not very prom-like either. And it's not like prom is anything more than a glorified party where everyone dry humps in a suit and tie. Obviously I attend every year. So yeah, that was an attempted joke, dry humping and the like really scares me.

Back to my whole philosophical talk about the ultimate dress, I sort of lost track again. I wish I could write as eloquently on this topic as, for example, Madelene from Le Portillon. She creates an entire philosophy behind the act of dressing. I'm probably too much of a simpleton. I devour her words and get lost in the world that she creates with those words but when it comes down to it, a dress to me is just a dress.

That's it for today's ramblings. I need a haircut. Again. Tomorrow I'm going to turn a birdcage into a modified birdcage lampshade, a diy project that has been long in the making. So basically I'm going to add a lightbulb to the whole ordeal but it sound cooler that way, don't you think?

It's been a while since I thanked everyone who comments, follows or visits this blog. I'm not going to call you my 'readers' or 'lovelies' but I sort of love you for taking the time do to this. The next post will be about my diy adventures, I guess.
