Starry eyed

This awe-inspiring, breathtaking popped up on my Tumblr dashboard several times now and I am still in awe. People like to call stuff like this whimsical, but I for one will never entirely understand what one means by that. Trust me, I've googled it. I'd like to think that whoever edited this had some glitter and stars lying around and those just happened to get stuck to the pictures. Such a brilliant little touch.
This has to be one of my favourite editorials in a long time. Isn't Courtney Vogler's cotton candy hair too brilliant for words?

Spin city

I'm a faithful Teen Vogue reader. Although Disney starlets seem to be permanently fixed on its cover and they have basically had three kinds of lifestyle articles on repeat ever since I started reading it, I always look forward to their cute photoshoots with fresh-faced, young models. Today the June/July issue arrived. And look at that, just the amount of cuteness that I wanted. Don't you just want to copy-paste yourself into these photos?

But I still haven't talked about the best thing yet. The patchwork cardigan that fresh-faced model #1 is wearing. It's Comme des Garçons and page 124 tells me it costs about $ 1,060. Forget that wishlist I posted on Wednesday, fuck it, this is all I want for many Christmases to come. Pardon my French.

Everyone thinks that it means something

Karen Elson Elson by Guy Aroch, Foam Magazine, (source)

So apparently Karen Elson is a singer now? Didn't know about that one, but I saw these pictures and I just had to post them. I love how the tones of her hair match the overall tones and setting they created. They did a great job creating a very whimsical (I'm not sure whether it's the right word) mood. Me, I've always wanted to be a redhead. Guess I missed out on those particular recessive genes!

At this very moment, I'm learning the Telephone dance routine. Why oh why is it so hard? I lack any hand-foot coordination. On another note, I baked some of the cupcakes I talked about last week. They turned out pretty fine :) I was actually very pleased although the red velvet cupcakes turned into velvet cupcakes when we took them out of the oven? All the food colouring kind of disappeared? That cannot be healthy! But I have so much work to do. Must continue. xo

Girl of my dreams

How is it even remotely possible that Lula Magazine has no distributors in Belgium? No Lula equals an unhappy Lies. I only have issue 8 with Chanel Iman on the cover. Actually, I went looking for a copy in Paris last weekend but my efforts were fruitless. Maybe I should stop whining and subscribe like all the regular folks do. In the mean time, enjoy these gorgeous scans from the tenth issue.
