When fashion month comes around, you're bound to love too many shows to even remember. But there are always those shows that you fall instantly in love with. Jonathan Saunders was my man in London and for now, Rochas has been the best thing to come out of Paris. Rochas was often all boxy and loose fitting, but the stunning colour palette and florals prints turned every single look into something I'd love to own. And talking about colours, Jonathan Saunders was spot on, definitely with the button-up shirts. No throwbacks to past eras, no exploration of the woman's masculine side, only gorgeous dresses for gorgeous women. I was also a big fan of Dries but he deserves a post of its own, actually, anyone who uses ombré effect does in my book.

In other news, I went to Antwerp this weekend and attended the Stephen Jones exhibition which was amazing but not too overwhelming. I also got myself a little present and some other exciting stuff happened on which I will elaborate further tomorrow. 

Have a great Sunday night, my dearest readers. I have to go babysitting and perhaps I'll watch an episode of True Blood afterwards. It's my latest obsession and it definitely one-ups the Twilight Saga big time. I love me some Vampire Bill and Sookeh Stackhouse. Who else watches True Blood here?

New York, I love you (a little bit) part 2

Et voilà! Jill Stuart was, in my opinion, perfection in its entirety as cohesive a collection. The clothes and shoes are just beautiful, no other words needed, and stuff I'd throw on any minute, for a fancy outing of course. Karen Walker never disappoints me with her quirky but traditional prints-infused design.

New York, I love you (a little bit) part 1

Two of my favourites from NYFW. I'm so behind on everything: absent-mindedly browsing through style.com, saving dozens of pictures and making them into crappy collages, but this is the first batch from the New York collections that I liked. Coming up are Jill Stuart, Chris Benz, Vena Cava, Cynthia Rowley and Karen Walker.

I'm not good at reviewing collections. To be honest, I don't really have an opinion on colour schemes, cuts and patterns. I know what I like and I save it to my hard drive. The prettier, the better. Some things that I do know are: Rodarte and Marc Jacobs were a letdown, so was Erin Fetherston. I miss her Zooey Deschanel-aesthetic.

I guess I'll continue dabbling in Photoshop a little before I go to the Ode Gand festival tonight. Music in open air and fireworks by the water, count me in.

Winter Wardrobe

There weren't many things that caught my eye the past few weeks (or I didn't bother going through all those hundreds of pages at style.com) but most of my favourites didn't disappoint. Cute frocks, eery wedding dresses, sharp blazers, crazy cat lady dresses, yes yes.
